No Cause For Alarm

Three Red Bank Volunteer Fire Department engines descend on Monmouth Street Tuesday evening but leave soon after.

Fire fighters from three Red Bank Volunteer Fire Departments blocked Monmouth Street in response to an alarm at 16 Monmouth Street Wednesday evening. Though the cause of the fire call was not immediately known, the entire episode: lights, sirens, gawkers, and all, lasted about 15 minutes.

After a satisfactory inspection by firemen decked out in complete fire gear of the third floor of the building – the ground floor tenant is Paw Palace – crews dispersed and the street was reopened to traffic.
