Bicyclist Taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center After Being Struck By Car

A 20-year-old male bicyclist was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center's Trauma Unit for what appears to be non-life-threatening injuries after being struck near Bridge Avenue and West Bergen Place, Red Bank, around 6:47 p.m. Saturday, police said.

The bicyclist allegedly rode off a sidewalk and was struck by a car driven by a 42-year-old Middletown man, police said.

Identifications were not immediately available, but Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.
