Police: Bloods Members Responsible for Attacks and Robberies

New details have emerged in attacks and robberies that took place last week in Red Bank.

Red Bank police have arrested five people, including four suspected members of the Bloods street gang, in connection with multiple robberies and assaults that took place in Red Bank last week.

, Jason Hall, 20, and Dashuan Clayton, 21, both of Red Bank, were arrested and charged with aggravated arson, two counts of aggravated assault and robbery after police say they were involved in a crime spree that took place over two separate days on July 6 and July 12.

Now, police are saying there are additional suspects involved. Lamar Hicks, 27, of Long Branch and Kadean Lane, 20, of Tinton Falls were arrested and charged with the same crimes as Hall and Clayton. Police also arrested Luchretia Jackson, 26, of Red Bank and charged her with one count of robbery.

According to new details released by the police department, a 21-year-old man was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center after being beaten and stabbed on River Street during an attempted early-morning robbery on July 6. The unidentified victim was later released from the hospital and is recovering from his injuries, police said.

The second incident took place again in the early morning hours, this time around 3 a.m. on July 12. A 36-year-old Belmar man, also unidentified, was walking to his vehicle on South Pearl Street when he was approached by the same four men and one woman, police said. The man was assaulted and robbed of his money and jewelry, including a gold chain valued at $1,400 dollars. The victim suffered cuts and bruises.

After the victim fled the four suspects took his vehicle to Mohawk Pond and set it on fire, police said.

The four male subjects are all believed to be affiliated with the Bloods street gang, police said in a statement. Bail was set for all five suspects by Judge (Thomas F.) Scully of the Monmouth County Superior Court and all were lodged in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution with the exception of Jackson who posted bail.

The incidents were investigated by the Red Bank Police Department’s detective bureau along with detectives from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. The Monmouth County and Red Bank Fire Marshals Offices also assisted with the arson investigation.
