Police: Burglary, Theft at Red Bank Home

When two out-of-town men allegedly burglarized a Red Bank home, stole two bicycles and damaged the property, they each ended up in jail on $50,000 bail.

Red Bank police arrested Christopher Mackay, 37, of 31 Houten St., Paterson, and Jason P. Mayer, 30, of 600 Poplar Ave., Lakehurst, on June 28.

Each was charged with burglary, theft of moveable property and criminal mischief after they allegedly burglarized a Prospect Avenue home, stole two bicycles worth $1,200 and did more than $500 worth of damage to the property, according to the complaint warrant.

The burglary and theft charges are third-degree offenses; and the criminal mischief charge is a fourth-degree offense, the complaint said. 

His court date is slated for Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
