A Red Bank man has been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and marijuana possession charges in connection with a July 4 incident during which he allegedly had an altercation with uniformed police officers.

Rolando Chimello-Peregrina, 28, of 10 West St., allegedly caused a public disturbance when he got into a fight with officers, using physical force against the officers and refusing to place his arms behind his back while they were trying to arrest him after allegedly finding him in possession of marijuana in a plastic bag and paraphernalia containing marijuana residue at his West Street home, according to the complaint warrant signed by Red Bank Patrolman Jonathan Quispe.

Chimello-Peregrina was held on a total of $12,500 bail, with no 10 percent option, set by Judge William Himelman.
