Prosecutor: Red Bank Man Failed to Register as Sex Offender

By Elaine Van Develde

A Red Bank resident has been indicted on a failure to register as a convicted sex offender charge.

The indictment, handed down by a Monmouth County grand jury, alleges that Pedro Segura, 46, of East Sunset Ave., sometime between June 12, 2012 and May 7, 2013, failed to register after being convicted of attempted sexual assault in the county on Sept. 13, 1996, according to the indictment signed by Acting Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni.

Those convicted of sexual offenses must register with their local law enforcement agency when residing in a town.
