Red Bank Police: Burglaries, Drug Arrests, Thefts

Borough authorities' response to incidents from Jan. 11 to Jan. 18

Red Bank police recently responded to two burglaries on Catherine Street as well as several thefts in the borough.

Police said someone cut a screen on a bedroom window sometime on Jan. 17 or 18 at a Catherine Street home and stole cash from a dresser drawer. Earlier last week, another Catherine Street resident reported to police the theft of a television, iPod and prescription pills from his/her apartment.

Authorities also investigated the theft of a green and purple mountain bike from a Broad Street parking lot on Jan. 16, as well as the theft of a purse stolen from a West Front Street business on Jan. 13.

Red Bank police also made several arrests last week, on drug, drunken driving and disorderly conduct charges:

  • Jermaine Qualls, 23, of Red Bank was arrested Jan. 17 in the area of Mechanic Street on a charge of possession of marijuana less than 50 grams.
  • Edward Brennan, 51, of Red Bank was arrested on a drunken driving charge in the area of Chestnut Street on Jan. 16.
  • David Rice, 29, of Kendall Park was arrested on Jan. 16 in the area of Globe Court on a disorderly conduct charge.
  • Joshua Rogoff, 36, of Staten Island, NY, was arrested Jan. 13 in the area of Bridge Avenue on a charge of possession of amphetamine pills.
