Red Bank Man Arrested on Cocaine Possession Charges

A Red Bank man is facing drug possession charges stemming from a June 5 incident.

During the course of a narcotics investigation in the area of Bridge Avenue and Oakland Street at about 10 p.m., Rodrigo Vaquero-Sandoval, 29, of 18 Willow St., was found to be in possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, police said.

The arresting officer, Patrolman James DePonte, allegedly found two plastic wraps containing a white powdery substance they determined was cocaine, the complaint warrant said.

Also found were five pink colored plastic bags police said are typically used in the "packaging of controlled dangerous substances."

Vaquero-Sandoval was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was held on $6,000 bail ordered by Judge William Himelman.
