Shrewsbury Accident Halts Route 35

A two-car accident at the intersection of Route 35 and Sycamore Avenue Sunday afternoon tied up traffic on an already hectic traveling day bringing Route 35 to a standstill for a part of the afternoon.

According to , who declined to provide the names of those involved in the accident pending the outcome of the investigation, two vehicle collided at the intersection around 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon, causing enough damage that at least one of the vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Crews were able to move the car and have the intersection mostly cleared up before 4 p.m.

No injuries were reported in the wreck. It was not immediately clear if any summonses had been issued.
