Shrewsbury Police Report Sycamore Avenue Burglary, Thefts and More

The following information was obtained directly from Shrewsbury Police Department records. It does not indicate convictions.

Shrewsbury police reported the following incidents and arrests from May 3 to 10:

Incidents:

• There was a report of lost property in the area of Thornbrook Drive taken on May 3.

Patrolman Ralph Latham is investigating.

• There was a report of a theft of a generator valued at approximately $1,000 from a Sycamore Avenue property on May 4.

Sgt. Michael Gallagher is investigating.

• There was a report of lost property in the area of Broad Street on May 8. The property, valued at approximately $4,000 was later recovered and returned to the owner by Detective James Ramsey.

• Police reported a burglary in the area of Sycamore Avenue on May 9 with approximately $4,000 worth of merchandise/property stolen.

Detective Sgt. Robert Turner, Sgt. Michael Gallagher and Detective James Ramsey are investigating.

Arrests:

Matthew Fera, 68, of Keansburg, was arrested on May 7 and charged with a theft in the area of Sycamore Avenue by Detective James Ramsey.

* Police also made seven arrests on contempt of court charges.
