Suspects Make Off with Sandwich Bags in Theft

A Shrewsbury Avenue market was recently robbed of a box of sandwich bags, Red Bank Police reported Friday.

The incident took place on Monday when, according to the report, two unknown males entered the store and shoplifted a box of Glad brand sandwich bags and left the store without paying for them.

It was unclear if a store clerk caught them in the act or if the theft was discovered after they had left.

No other items were reported stolen.

Police have not made any arrests in connection with the incident and no suspects have been named. Ptlm. James DePonte is the investigating officer.
