Toms River could feel the effects of harsh weather before Tropical Storm Arthur gets here - if it gets here.

While a heat advisory has been issued for New Jersey, thunderstorms may produce strong winds Wednesday afternoon. Heavy rain with localized flash-flooding could follow, according to the National Weather Service.

Flash-flooding will be a threat Thursday into Friday as a cold front slowly moves through the region and potentially interacts with "tropical moisture" from Arthur, according to the NWS.

We'll have more information as it becomes available.

Within 24 hours Christie will have a "photo opp" at Sleaze-side to announce more money for boardwalk businesses, but none for homeowners still waiting 20 months after Supertstorm Sandy. He'll reiterate that he has fond memories of eating pizzas there as a child. The only house he cares about is at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. -- NJ not so much!
