Winter Weather Advisory in Effect

National Weather Service is predicting some combination of snow, sleet, and freezing rain Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Ho hum, we're in the middle of another winter weather advisory.

In what Monmouth County residents have likely come to expect over the past month, the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for both eastern and western Monmouth County from 7 p.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Overnight, some combination of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expect to fall and create hazardous road conditions.

Snow could start to fall at any point tonight with accumulation of one to three inches predicted. Following the snow is the arrival of sleet and freezing rain begining at 4am.

A slippery glaze of just a fraction of an inch will top it all off, the weather service said.
