Benefit Puts Politics Aside in Effort to Restore the Shore [Video]

Monmouth County Republicans and Democrats joined up to raise money for Sandy relief.

Monmouth County Democrats and Republicans put their differences aside Sunday to help raise money for Hurricane Sandy Relief with a benefit concert at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park.

Called "United to Restore the Jersey Shore," the event was spearheaded by the Monmouth County Democratic Organization, the Monmouth County Republicans, the state's New Leaders Council and the New Jersey Young Republicans, among others.

The event raised more than $80,000 for the New Jersey Hurricane Relief Fund, which was presented in a check to Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno.
