Hydrant Flushing Scheduled in Red Bank

Hydrants throughout the borough will be flushed through Oct. 29.

Red Bank has scheduled hydrant flushing throughout the borough now through Oct. 29, the borough announced on its website.

According to the borough's announcment, the flushing will take place between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day. Some residents may see a drop in water pressure, though only temporarily.

Some discoloration in tap water may occur during the flushing. Resident should run their water until clears.

Hydrant flushing is performed regulary to not only test the hydrants but to clean out debris and silt that may have accumulated in water lines over time.
