Red Bank Seeks CERT Volunteers

The borough is looking for a few good persons to help in case of emergency.

Red Bank's Emergency Management Committee is looking for volunteers to participate in the borough's newly instituted Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, Councilman Art Murphy recently announced.

The borough through its Office of Emergency Management and has since been seeking volunteers. Though some have come forward, Red Bank needs public help to beef up its roster.

According to the clerks office, CERT training promotes a partnering effort between emergency services and the people they serve. CERT-trained personnel help train residents, community organizations, and workplaces in basic response skills to emergency.
