The Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Red Bank offers a variety of training that appeals to people of all ages and both genders.
A visitor often observes a loving couple practicing their moves as a means of enhancing the celebration of a special occasion. The studio offers classes conducted by outstanding dancing professionals to reinforce the dance steps one needs to impress on the dance floor. The students can join with peers to attend Friday practice nights. Dance fitness is taken to a new level.
Fred Astaire of Red Bank has introduced an exceptional workout called Lablast that features the choreography of Lous Van Amstel of "Dancing With The Stars" fame. It combines high energy cardio moves with the beauty and grace of the ballroom. Come try it with Lisa Panicali of Fred Astaire/Colts Neck Rec.
On Monday, February 4th, 2013, Louis personally led a session that was high energy and full of fun. Each dance included repetitive movements that are easy to follow in a specific count that transcends the workout into the ballroom. As Mr. Amstel advised, "Don't be afraid to let yourself go", the group worked hard yet had energy to enjoy his comments and banter. After the workout, this dance master posed for pictures and answered questions. Everyone who attended the event looks forward to his return.
Anyone interested in trying a class should contact Lisa at the studio for a schedule. Demonstrations and a great workout will also be conducted at a special event hosted by the Brian Breen Foundation. Brian was the young man shot to death at the Pathmark in Old Bridge. His dream was to become a teacher. The foundation will honor his memory by providing a scholarship to a deserving young person with the same goal. The date of the event is April 27th. The location is Ivy League Day Camp in Manalapan. It will be a marathon of workouts presentations and special events lasting from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. The Fred Astaire Dance Studio will be there to introduce Lablast and support this worthy cause.
