Back at School in Red Bank

It’s Tuesday, the day after Labor Day, and that can only mean one thing to most of the country’s school children: a first day back at school. Such was the case in Red Bank as kindergarten through eighth grade students from throughout the borough hopped on those big yellow buses to head back to school.

Maybe it was the weather, gloomy and rainy for much of the morning and afternoon, but at Red Bank Middle School student excitement and anxiety was a bit tempered Tuesday. Principal Maria Iozzi said the first day back at school was as smooth as any she’s seen and all students were in their classrooms and getting ready to hit the books by the first bell of the day.
