  • Monthly support groups for LGBTQ individuals and/or families-  2nd Monday of each month in Shrewsbury, and 2nd Wednesday of each month in Toms River (see website for addresses and directions).   Confidential, safe place.  Receive the support you need, or give support to others who are struggling.

Jersey Shore PFLAG is a community organization that provides support, education and advocacy for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals and their family and friends in Monmouth and Ocean counties in New Jersey. Our main activity is hosting two monthly support meetings that provide comfort, information and discussion about LGBT issues, and we also sponsor a number of other special events throughout the year. If you or someone you know is gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, please visit the Support Meetings page to find out more information about when and where we meet.

We will be having a guest speaker at our June, Shrewsbury meeting.  DYFS will be speaking to us about the need for foster care and adoption of youth (either straight or LGBT) by adults who are single, coupled, straight or LGBT. This presentation should last about 20-30 minutes, and will be followed by our regular support meeting.
