No Challengers in Red Bank BOE Race

Four terms expire in 2013.

There are no surprises, save for the possibility of a write-in candidate, with the Red Bank Board of Education candidate filings for the November election.

Four board members' terms are up and, according to Tuesday's board candidate filings with the county, each of the same four incumbents is running for re-election to another three-year term on the nine-member board.

President Ben Forrest, of 16 Locust Ave., is seeking another term, as are Marjorie Lowe, 9 Wall St., Jill Burden, 30 W. Westside Ave., and Suzanne Viscomi, 23 Arthur Place.

Viscomi, who had planned to run as a Republican for Red Bank Borough Council this year, backed out of that race. She announced, in part, on her website, choice4redbank.com, " ... For my best interest and the overall betterment of the Republican Party, I will now step aside."
