RBR Scores Big with Cyber Patriot Win

Students will compete in semi-finals in January

Red Bank Regional High School's (RBR) cyber security students have set their own success code.

The group has performed exceptionally well in the Air Force Association’s national premier Cyber Patriot competition, according to a release. After preparing over the summer, the students have succeeded in two qualifying rounds, advancing to the Cyber Patriot semi-final competition. The distinction makes the team one of 50 out of 600 competitors nationwide to advance to the semi-final status in a January competition.

This year’s team consists of: Tucker Machard, Zach Carrano (Little Silver), Tyler Birn (Red Bank), Mark Eulner, Josh Even (Shrewsbury); Alex Dannecker, Ryan Terpak, Cris Sochacki, Louis DiOrio, and Christian Bonomo (Union Beach).

RBR technology teacher Mandy Galante is the team coach and RBR technology teacher Jeremy Milonas is the team mentor. The semi-final takes place in January with the final competition set for Washington D.C. in the early spring.
