Red Bank School Board to Swear in Members at Reorganization

Meeting planned for 7 p.m. tonight at middle school

A newcomer and two incumbents will take their seats tonight when the Red Bank Board of Education reorganizes.

The school board will hold its annual reorganization meeting at 7 p.m. at Red Bank Middle School.

It will be the first reorganization in January, as Red Bank, like the vast majority of New Jersey school districts, chose to hold elections in November instead of the traditional April elections when given the option by the state.

Incumbents Ann Roseman and Carrie Ludwikowski will take their oaths for new terms on the nine-member board, as will newcomer Frederick Stone. The trio ran unopposed for their seats in November and received 1,601, 1,630 and 1,515 votes, respectively.

School board reorganizations typically see the election of a board president (currently Roseman) and vice president (currently Ben Forest), the adoption of a policy manual, the selection of board committee assignments and the appointments of professionals.

An agenda for the Red Bank school board reorganization was not available in advance.
