Roll The Dice With The SOURCE Foundation at Casino Night

Red Bank Regional High School's SOURCE Foundation will hold Casino Night Fundraiser at McLoone's.

This Saturday, March 26, The SOURCE Foundation will hold a Casino Night Fundraiser at McLoone’s in Sea Bright. Proceeds will benefit The SOURCE Foundation, Red Bank Regional High School’s school based youth services program.

The SOURCE has a commitment to helping young people reach higher and achieve their fullest potential. Their mission is “To remove all obstacles that impede the success of young people in the community.”

For young people, those obstacles can be anything from not knowing what path to take after high school, family problems, or not having the funds to carry out a college wish.

The SOURCE offers a variety of resources to help students, including counseling, tutoring, recreational and cultural events, and employment assistance. The program is open to any student who attends Red Bank Regional, regardless of academic or social background.

One of the most vital components is being able to offer academic support in a variety of ways. In order to aid young adults on the road to success, The SOURCE provides free SAT prep courses, free college workshops, scholarship opportunities and even helps students fill out complicated college paperwork.

Although The SOURCE does receive funding from the Department of Children and Families-Division of Community Partnerships and Prevention, the majority of their scholarship programs and college prep courses are paid for through their 501C3 non-profit section, The Source Foundation.

In order to be able to have funding for these important programs, The SOURCE is heavily dependent on community involvement and generous donations from those who wish to contribute to making the future brighter for promising young people.

Each year, The SOURCE tries to find new and exciting ways to raise money and get the community involved at the same time.

Coordinator Suzanne Keller thought that this year it was time to try something different. “A casino night is fun and exciting,” Keller remarks, “It is a way for anyone in the community to come out, learn about our organization and support a great cause.”

Keller is hoping that a casino night will appeal to the community as a whole and get people from different generations and backgrounds together to support the common good.

“It’s a different style of fundraising,” she says, “Our goal is to appeal to everyone in the community, not just our typical demographic of parents and community leaders.”

The special casino night event will take place from 7pm to 11pm at McLoone’s in Sea Bright. It is open to anyone who is looking for a fun night and a worthy cause.

The $100 per person admission donation includes a dinner buffet, complimentary soda, $50 in casino chips, raffle and 50/50 drawing entries and entertainment. Valet parking is available.  Tickets can be purchased by visiting http://rbrhs.org and clicking on the “Casino Night” banner or by contacting The SOURCE coordinator Suzanne Keller at 732-842-8000 ex 236 or by emailing her at skeller@rbrhs.org
