Josh is our athlete of the week and each week we ask them the same three questions and print their answers verbatim.

Why did you choose the college you did?

I chose Rutgers over Old Dominion, Connecticut, Bowling Green, Temple and Massachusetts. What really stood out with Rutgers was how great of a football program it was becoming and how it was really on the rise up.

It's also close to home. Family is so important to me and I don’t want to go far.

I love the coaching staff at Rutgers, I love the head coach Kyle Flood he’s a great guy. I love coach (Jim Panagos) the d-line coach he’s one of the main reasons (I chose Rutgers). Him and my dad hit it off and they get along.

What has been your best sports experience at Red Bank Catholic so far?

My junior year, winning our first playoff game in like 15 years. That was huge for us to finally get over that hump and win a playoff game.

What do you plan on studying in college?

I want to study criminal justice, it interests me. Not sure yet, but that’s what I want.
