The Caseys Wallop Toms River North in a Wild Ice Hockey Game

Bryan Gaburo registers hat trick in high-scoring game

The Red Bank Catholic Caseys ice hockey team took a commanding lead in the first period and never looked back defeating the Toms River High School North Mariners 11-1 Tuesday night in Red Bank.

RBC Forward Bryan Gaburo scored a hat trick, an offensive surprise during a night of offensive surprises. It was a wild high-scoring game for the Caseys, with  the puck going into the Mariner's goal net 11 times.

Forward Patrick Dwyer scored the first goal of the night for the Caseys while Defenseman Mike Stickle scored the second goal with 10:19 left in the period.

The Caesy continued to build up the lead with Defenseman Jesse Deatherage scoring the third goal. Forward Christian Constatino scored the 5th goal . Gaburo scored the 6th goal while Forward Tevor Grossman scored the 7th goal. The Mariners scored one goal and the lead was 7-1 at the end of the second period.

The third period opened with the Caseys scoring a goal and the lead was 8-1. Stickle scored the 9th goal with an assist from Vinnie Loksa.

Gaburo completed the hat trick with his third goal on an assist from Grossman and the Caseys lead was 10-1.

Forward Jack Donleavy scored the final goal as the Caseys pushed the lead to a 10-goal margin.

"We played very well tonight," Head Coach Ken Carlson said.

Carlson said said he was very pleased with the team's performance on the ice.

"We played a very well rounded effort, and our defense played very well," he said.

Carlson noted that the team has two games left on the season and then the Shore Conference playoffs will begin.

The Caseys improved to 10-6-4 on the season.
