It's what's going on in the Red Bank-Shrewsbury area this week.

Did you get to the Red Bank Halloween Parade? It was a perfect day for a parade. Check out our pics.

Oh, and Red Bank Councilman Ed Zipprich and JP Nicolaides were the first gay couple to get married in Red Bank and possibly the state! The two tied the knot last night at the stroke of midnight at Borough Hall. Congrats! Read more about it. Patch was there!

Speaking of perfect day, it looks like we're in for another today. And, it looks like most of the week is going to be nice with the high temperature today of 67 degrees, except for a pesky chance of rain mid-week.

• Red Bank Planning Board meets tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the meeting room in the municipal complex on Monmouth Street.

• Shrewsbury Mayor and Council meet tonight at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday …

• River Road Books in Fair Haven is featuring a reading and discussion from/with author Michael Nethercott, who wrote The Seance Society, highlighting a ghost story motif.  

Wednesday ...

• Red Bank Mayor and Council meet at 6:30 p.m. at the municipal complex on Monmouth Street.

Thursday …

• Author Kimberly Kolb will be at River Road Books talking about her book Lindsey: Love and Intrigue and high school experiences.

Friday …

• There will be the usual ghost tours leaving the Dublin House in Red Bank at about 8:30 p.m.

• And gear up the Haunted Theater at Brookdale Community College from 7 to 10:30 p.m.
