Here's what's going on:

Thursday …

• Holiday Express kicks off the season with its traditional paid Count Basie Theatre concert Thursday night to benefit those in need. Click here for more information.

Friday …

• It's $5 Fridays at The Cheese Cave, starting at 5 p.m., featuring select cheeses and pairings.

Saturday (and Sunday, in some cases) …

• At the Basie is A Souled Out Christmas, starring Darlene Love, on Saturday night and Lauryn Hill on Sunday.

• Yuletide Carolers are at the Grove on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.

• Holiday Harmonies, comprised of traditional carolers, choirs, brass bands, rock, folk, jazz & blues musicians bring holiday tunes to the sidewalks of Red Bank from 12 to 3 p.m.
