Tree Lighting, Lantern Tour & Lennon

Holiday inspired events, including the West Side Tree Lighting, Shrewsbury's Holiday Lantern Tour and John Lennon's art exhibit run through the weekend.

If you thought the annual gala Red Bank holiday lighting event last week was it for the holidays, you were mistaken.

There's another tradition in which Red Bankers participate annually. All are welcome to the West Side Tree Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. in the West Side Pocket Park at the corner of Shrewsbury Avenue and Drs. James Parker Boulevard, Councilwoman Juanita Lewis reminded all at a recent meeting.

The event, hosted by Red Bank Department of Parks and Recreation, the West Side Community Group and Lunch Break, will feature holiday song featuring the West Side Christian Academy, hot cocoa, snacks and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
