Two River Theater played host to Broadway in Red Bank, a food and music benefit benefiting the theater and Flavour.
Among the multitude of things Red Bank does well, the theater and culinary arts here likely rank somewhere in the range of one or two, depending on who you ask. On Monday, the two came together as the Two River Theater hosted Broadway in Red Bank, a food and theater showcase featuring more than a dozen local restaurants and musical talent imported straight from Broadway. The event, developed for Flavour, Red Bank's downtown restaurant marketing effort, was conceived and organized by Chris Paseka, co-owner of Sugarush. Using his connections, Paseka, who worked in New York City's commercial theater industry for more than a decade, was able to entice top talent to participate in what many see as a natural pairing. Red Bank Flavour is teaming up with Two River Theater to present Broadway in Red Bank April 16.
Red Bank Flavour is joining Two River Theater to present Broadway in Red Bank on Monday, April 16, according to a release. The event, a campaign to raise money for local theater and the restaurant consortium will feature a selection of cuisine from some of the borough's restaurants as well as a cabaret performance featuring Broadway's rising stars. Tickets range in price from $75-$200 are on sale now. The event begins at 6 p.m. with foodies and theater fans able to enjoy a 90-minute culinary extravaganza presented by more than a dozen select Red Bank restaurants.
