A Monmouth County employee is accused of pocketing some green while working on the greens. Carol Hobbs, 34, is allegedly embezzled over $3,000 in greens fees while working as a golf ranger at the Charleston Springs Golf Course in Millstone. Authorities arrested the Jackson resident on Thursday on a third-degree theft charge following an investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO). As part of her duties at the golf course, Hobbs was responsible for maintaining the cash register in the pro shop, collecting greens fees and managing the schedule of golfers.
