Man Charged With Possession of Handgun, Hollow-Point Bullets
Police say the Red Bank man was pointing the gun at neighbors when they arrived on scene.
A Red Bank man was arrested in the early morning hours Saturday after police said they found him in possession of a handgun and hollow point bullets during a disturbance with neighbors. According to a police report, Red Bank Police were on regular patrol and investigating a disturbance on Hudson Avenue when they found Andrew Makuch pointing a Heckler and Koch model 45-caliber handgun at nearby residents. Makuch, 25, was also found to be in possession of hollow-point bullets during the investigation. Hollow-point bullets are designed to expand when they hit their target, causing significant tissue damage and blood loss when compared to regular bullets.
