A new speciality lacrosse store recently opened on Broad Street.

The uninitiated might wonder how a store that's dedicated solely to lacrosse can open and survive on Broad Street in downtown Red Bank, an area typically reserved for national retail, high-end boutiques and modern restaurants.  But those who know lacrosse and its fans know that no matter where you build it, they will come. Lacrosse Unlimited a growing lacrosse chain with 37 stores throughout the country, including five in New Jersey, recently opened its newest location in Red Bank. Lacrosse Unlimited is a full service lacrosse store providing custom string and dye jobs, apparel and equipment, among other accessories. Red Bank Regional Sports Roundup

Boys tennis beats Rumson-Fair Haven for first time in over 5 years, boys lacrosse wins first game of Shore Conference play, boys baseball begins Shore Conference tournament today

Boys Tennis Red Bank Regional swashbuckled past Rumson-Fair Haven for the first time in five years Tuesday, taking the match 3-2, with big wins by Joel Diamond, David Braka and P.J. Moran. Boys Lacrosse (12-3) The Bucs cruised over Toms River South 14-6 in the first game of the Shore Conference tournament Tuesday afternoon. Their next game will be played away against No. 1 seed Rumson-Fair Haven on Friday at 4 p.m. Girls Lacrosse (7-6) The Lady Bucs delivered a 14-2 hurting to Long Branch (0-13) Tuesday. Red Bank took an 11-1 lead into halftime. Kristen Smith and Murphy Davis scored three times each, Arianna Tharrington and Clara Osmont scored two apiece, and Lauren Arnone registered a goal and two assists. Baseball (11-7) Tuesday's game …

Bucs Boys Lacrosse Win Streak Snapped at 8

Red Bank beat Shore on Monday for their eighth straight victory, but lost to Holmdel Wednesday.

Red Bank Regional (10-3) defeated the Shore Regional Blue Devils on Monday afternoon by a score of 13-1. Zach Witter scored 4 goals with 2 assists, Andrew Manning added 3 goals with 2 assists, and Karl Degenhart and George Zackman contributed 2 goals each. Goalie Pat Quinn had 8 saves. The Buccaneers lost to Holmdel (9-5) on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 14-2. Senior midfielder Andrew Manning was injured in the game. He was taken to the hospital, where it was determined he broke his collar bone. The Bucs will be back in action Friday at 4 p.m. when they face the Ranney School at home.
