Two Red Bank men were arrested after traffic stops in Little Silver late last month. John Calderone, 53, was charged Nov. 20 following a motor vehicle stop on Seven Bridges Road with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He also was arrested on a non-support warrant out of Monmouth County Superior Court. Officer Amanda Arnold made the arrest. Brandon Strickland, 22, was arrested Nov. 9 following a traffic stop on Branch Avenue on a contempt of court warrant out of Keansburg Municipal Court. Officer Joseph Glynn, Jr. made the arrest. *** Additionally, a student at Red Bank Regional High School reported a theft Nov. 21 after discovering that her cell phone had been stolen from her backpack during school. Albert Martin, 17, of Red Bank died Monday after collapsing during a basketball scrimmage
Albert Martin was a gregarious young man who was just beginning to reach his potential when his life was cut tragically short while playing the game he loved. Martin, 17, a Red Bank Regional High School senior, died at Riverview Medical Center Monday after collapsing during a basketball scrimmage against Point Pleasant Beach High School. Shellshocked RBR students, coaches, administrators and board members spoke Tuesday about the loss of a young man described as a friend to all who had worked tirelessly to improve his conditioning and grades to be a better athlete and student. A traffic stop for speeding led to an arrest for drug possession in Little Silver. John J. Calderone, 53, 124 River St., Red Bank, was stopped on Nov. 20 at 8:48 p.m. on Seven Bridges Road by Ptl. Amanda Arnold, who discovered he had an outstanding warrant out of the Monmouth County Sheriff's Department. During the arrest, Arnold found "a bag containing a white powder substance believed to be cocaine" in Calderone's possession, according to court documents. Calderone was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and held on $5,000 bail and transferred to the sheriff's department. He is scheduled to appear in Little Silver Municipal Court on Dec. 20.

Evan Raczkiewicz, 19 of Lincroft was arrested on Aug. 2.
A Lincroft man was charged on Thursday with the burglary of a Little Silver residence last month. Evan Raczkiewicz, 19 of Lincroft was arrested on Aug. 2 following an investigation of a burglary and theft at a borough residence, which was unoccupied at the time, on July 30. Raczkiewicz was additionally charged with receiving stolen property in Red Bank, and all of the items taken were recovered. Raczkiewicz was held on $10,000 bail and taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Detective Greg Oliva, Ptl. Peter Gibson of the Little Silver Police Department and Investigator Bob Campanella of the Red Bank Police Department investigated.

A message from the Little Silver Police Department: The Monmouth County Highway Departmen will be milling and paving Winfield Drive at the intersection of Branch Avenue on Thursday, June 14. Northbound traffic (towards Red Bank) will be detoured from Branch Avenue onto Markham Place to North Lovett Aveue to Rumson Road. The northbound lane will be closed on Branch Avenue between Markham Place and Rumson Road starting at 8:45 a.m. until noon. After noon, flagmen will alternate traffic in both directions in the area of Winfield Drive until the paving is completed. The paving is necessary for the installation of the crosswalk at that intersection. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The 19-year-old Fair Haven resident was struck by a car early Friday morning.
The pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the early morning hours of April 6 on Harding Road in Little Silver has died, according to police. Fair Haven resident Jillian Dinger, 19, was airlifted to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune following the accident near Alderbrook Road at 3:15 a.m. on Friday and did not survive, according to a release from Little Silver Police Chief Daniel Shaffery. Dinger was struck by a 2007 Nissan Altima driven by Robert Post, 53, also of Fair Haven. No charges have been issued to the driver, according to police. Kimberly A. Campo of Highlands was arrested on Wednesday.
A Highlands woman arrested Wednesday faces numerous charges in Little Silver, Shrewsbury and Rumson for breaking into vehicles and stealing items including cash, an EZPass tag and credit cards, which she used to make purchases. Kimberly A. Campo, 71 Bay Ave., Highlands, was arrested March 21 and charged with Burglary (third degree), Theft by Unlawful Taking, Credit Card Fraud and Forgery, according to complaint warrants issued by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. Campo, 27, is charged with entering multiple vehicles on Strauss Drive in Shrewsbury and taking over $800 in various items. Suspects witnessed entering unlocked vehicles and stealing electronics while school was in session.
Two teenagers have been charged with multiple counts of burglary and theft for stealing items from unlocked cars in the Red Bank Regional High School (RBR) parking lot while school was in session. An RBR staff member reportedly witnessed Lauren Papworth, 18, of Atlantic Highlands, and Jason Wilson, 18, of Red Bank, entering vehicles and removing electronics and other miscellaneous items on Nov. 15. The incident was reported to School Resource Officer Peter Gibson, and Little Silver Police arrested Papworth and Wilson on Nov. 17.
