Prosecutor Investigating Potential Homicide at Long Branch Apartment
Incident occurred on Willow Avenue on Jan. 3
The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office and Long Branch police are investigating a possible homicide that occurred on Willow Avenue last week. County Director of Investigations Marc Limieux said police received a 911 call at 4:20 p.m. Jan. 3 for a report of an unresponsive male in the basement apartment of 326 Willow Ave. Lemieux said the address is one large home with multiple apartments. The victim was later identified as Manuel Vilaseca Cortez, a 39-year-old male from Long Branch. Limieux said Cortez did not live at 326 Willow Ave. He said the case is being "investigated as a homicide," but that no cause of death is available at this time and no suspects have identified. I have much work to be done around my home ,with the property taxes I pay it becomes cost prohibitive to hire a contractor to do lawn maintenance or repairs around the house when I can hire someone for 1/2 the wages wanting to do work .My town thinks it knows how to spend my money better than I do , I think there wrong ....do I check for citizenship ....I do the same as our Senator Menendez does…   more ›
