The new event Flavour event would be held in Marine Park at the end of June.
Good food, good drinks, and Red Bank’s best view. Organizers of Red Bank Flavour’s newest culinary concept, Sippin’ on the River, think they’ve found the recipe for another successful food fair. Scheduled for the last weekend in June, the event is expected to feature gourmet food from the borough eateries, beer and wine, and a great view of the Navesink River from Marine Park. “It’s just Flavour, dude,” Bistro and Teak Co-owner and Flavour Founder George Lyristis said of the motivation to develop another foodie event. “It’s going to be an event where we can give back to the community while promoting the town like we always do.” Lyristis said the new food event was conceptualized about a year ago and has gone through the planning process …

A look at riverfront Red Bank in pictures.
On many summer nights, it's take your pick in Red Bank. From watching the sun set beyond the Navesink River from Marine Park to catching live music at Riverside Gardens and even strolling through the borough's lively downtown, there are plenty of options out there for visitors. On a walk Thursday evening Patch took a couple of shots of the sites in along Red Bank's riverside.

Heat be damned, locals braved the 90-plus degrees in Red Bank Friday.
It's plenty hot outside, but early afternoon in Red Bank saw plenty of people out and about, enjoying the sun despite a temperature hovering around the bottom 90's throughout the day. Down by Marine Park plenty of crabbers and fishermen occupied the riverfront, tossing chicken and fish heads into the water to attract underwater attention. And if there's anything crabs like it's chicken. And fish. And hot dogs - so we've heard. So if you're hesistant about going out in the heat, check out these pictures. It's safe, relatively, as long as you dress appropriately and drink plenty of water. And after you finish walking around outside, head to the borough's downtown, where the AC is cranking in every restaurant and shop.
