An Extra Helping of Flavour for Kids and Lunch Break
The downtown culinary alliance donated checks to Lunch Break and the Red Bank Middle School Athletic Association Wednesday.
Red Bank Flavour knows how to throw a party. It's recent Night on the Navesink summer soiree attracted hundreds of visitors to the Molly Pitcher Inn to savor the eats of the downtown's accumulated culinary expertise. It's because of that success that Flavour was able to raise more than $6,500 to be distributed to two local charities: Lunch Break and the Red Bank Middle School Athletic Association. Flavour presented two checks at Wednesday night's council meeting for $3,350 to be given to each organization. Borough council lauded the efforts of Flavour and event organizers, saying they not only hosted a great event following months of planning, but were able to raise money for two great causes.
