RBR's Megan Reardon Clinches Shore Conference
The Little Silver sophomore just missed breaking the school record for javelin throwing.
Red Bank Regional sophomore Megan Reardon of Little Silver clinched the Shore Conference Championship in javelin on May 19 with a 125.5-foot throw. The event was held at Neptune High School. Reardon just missed breaking the RBR record of 126 feet. Reardon will compete in Sectionals at Monmouth Regional over Memorial Day weekend. If she places within the top six throwers there, she advances to the Meet of Champions in Old Bridge High School on June 7. Coach Brad Olsen said, “It has been a long time since RBR had a Shore Conference Champion on track and I think it is even more special that she did this as a sophomore. She also has two more years to break the RBR school record.”
