In Person With the Willows on the Water

An event hosted by Two River Theater and Navesink Maritime Heritage Association brought youngsters onto the Navesink River.

Two River Theater's upcoming children's holiday season play A Wind in the Willows Christmas shares a special connection with water. The play, the product of the company's in-house talent, features songs such as "Messing Around in Boats," and "As the River Flows." In an effort to promote the play, which runs from Dec. 8 to Dec. 30, Two River Theater teamed up with the Navesink Maritime Heritage Association for a special Saturday event called Willows on the Water. Those who were the first to purchase tickets to the show ahead of time were given the opportunity to hop into canoes and push off from Maple Cove in Red Bank for a water tour of the Navesink's coastline. Lunch Break Puts on its Finest for Gala

The soup kitchen's largest fundraising event attracted approximately 400 people.

Throughout the year Lunch Break helps feed the hungry through its soup kitchen, helps provide families with fresh produce and food from its pantry, helps educate residents about social services and assistance programs, and helps people get through the holidays with food and toy and clothing drives. Call this one for Lunch Break. On Friday, Lunch Break hosted its annual gala at Two River Theater, welcoming approximately 400 guests to enjoy music, food from 15 Red Bank Flavour eateries, drinks and auctions and participate in the organizations largest fundraiser of the year. Not too Late to Join Lunch Break Gala

The combination food pantry, soup kitchen, and social services provider is hosting its annual gala this weekend.

Tickets are still available for Lunch Break's annual Fall Gala at the Two River Theater this Friday, according to Executive Director Gewndolyn Love. The Fall Gala is Lunch Break's largest fundraising effort of the year and features an auction, live entertainment and food from Red Bank Flavour-participating restaurants. According to a release from Lunch Break, the auction items include a signed Jon Bon Jovi guitar - Lunch Break and Bon Jovi's Soul Kitchen are partners - an antique Stickley rocking chair, items from Tiffany's and gift certificates to country clubs and restaurants.
