A Toms River babysitter is being held on $250,000 bail with no 10 percent option after being charged with the murder of a 14-month-old child, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday. A Blackwood man was arrested Wednesday along with his son and daughter as conspirators in a drug ring that distributed multi-kilogram quantities of Colombian cocaine, as well as other narcotics, according to authorities. Assault rifles and a large quantity of materials used to make bombs were found in the Ridgewood home of Roberto Rivera, 60, Saturday. Rivera, a New York doctor, was charged with recklessly creating a risk of widespread injury or damage. FBI agents said he was active in the Occupy Wall Street movement. State Sen. Stephen M. Sweeney is suing his hometown over what he labeled an unlawful arrangement in which a $13.1 million settlement payment was made to Sunoco, the owner of the Eagle Point refinery, for tax appeals. In exchange for the payment, Sunoco made a $750,000 donation to the township to pay for a pair of new fire trucks.
