ReplyA church but I don't think the lease terms would be even close to what a church can withstand. How sad is that!

ReplyA lot of questions left on the table. IS there a gas station included? What bank? What other stores will be in this strip mall? What happens to the Lubeitall? I suspect this strip mall will be vacant within 3 years. As for Brookwood, as long as people obey the 25 mph speed law, I don't see it as a problem. As for the Route 35 traffic, finish up what the State failed to do, extend the third lane from Route 36 down to the light at Wycoff and make it a right turn only lane.

ReplyAt least rip down the fence on Wycoff Road and put a sidewalk in. People are always walking on the road past the Lube-It-All. Eventually, there is going to be a pedestrian accident there. Why put another shopping venue there? We have enough of them already! This piece of land is centrally located and perfect for a new Municipal Building (or Firehouse).

ReplyThe angry people are right to be angry. A greedy developer comes in builds a bunch of houses and leaves. The developer doesn't live in Eatontown. They won't have to deal with the problems they leave behind. What! You think traffic is the issue? Extra children in our education system? That is nothing. How about the Garbage pick up and extra fees at the dump to dispose of it. Who do you think pays for that? The sewer bill just went up this year. What happens when that extra capacity is put in the system? Who do you think will pay for that? Eatontown! What happens to the water supply when we have a dry summer? More and Longer water restrictions. Are you gonna be happy with that? What happens when more demand is put on the electrical grid because of this? Who do you think will pay for added capacity at the generating plant? All of us. And this is right? This is good? HELLO! We elected the borough council to represent the people of this town and protect us! They have already failed us 3 times in the prevention of this type of thing with the Mill Pond townhouses, yet another trailer park just up the road from it and a new development just across Rt35 from them. All in the same area! Enough is enough already!

ReplyHow about extending Wall street out to Route 36 so people don't have to use a parking lot as a thoroughfare to get to Wall St. or Parker. (The state screwed that one up when they "made the 35/36 intersection better".)

ReplyStop the building of Condo's, Townhouses and Homes. The roads are congested enough and the utilities over stressed as it is. And we have way too many stores and restaurants. I wish to keep it green

ReplyUnemployment in the construction Industry in NJ should be at an all time low for while. This should be great boost to our NJ economy. It is very sad that it takes a disaster to get employment moving in this sector. My heart goes out to those who are without homes. They are suffering loss. Are we tough and gritty? Most are, but some aren't. We must be strong for them.
Not to be negative but....Who will be strong for us when all of those with new rebuilt houses get property tax increases? -

Wawa wants to build a convenience store across the street. If this area is such a good location for that, why don't they save the cost of buying the property and building the store and just move into the old Borders location? Split the Border's area in half and add some other small stores that are compatible with Wawa (like a dry cleaner or a bank).
