Since 1965, Central Jersey Blood Center has been the primary blood supplier to the area hospitals in Monmouth and Ocean counties.  CJBC was founded in Shrewsbury more than forty years ago with a vision to provide an adequate, high quality and safe supply of blood, blood products, and other related services to meet the needs of local hospitals.  CJBC has a community-based blood banking philosophy, meaning that our donors know that the blood they give stays in this community first, to help patients who are family members, friends, and neighbors. 

Central Jersey Blood Center is the primary supplier for hospitals like Bayshore Community Hospital, CentraState Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Ocean Medical Center, and Riverview Medical Center.  CJBC services many other hospitals throughout New Jersey including but not limited to: University Medical Center at Princeton, Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy and Old Bridge, Community Medical Center, East Orange General Hospital, Kimball Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and St. Barnabas Medical Center.
