ReplyI won't judge him because I didn't see it. I can easily view it two different ways from the sketchy report.

Reply"Senior housing" is just a slick way to get around zoning laws. Age restricted residents' cars take up just as much room on the roads and intersections as anyone's car. The state should buy it and keep it as a golf course. The state should take over Fort Monmouth and make it a State University that better serves south Jersey.

As we all know the professional opinions by the developers hired guns are always unbiased. Its good to know that adding more congestion actually improves congestion. I suppose that New Jersey, Monmouth County or Eatontown buying the property before it is rezoned, and maintaining it as a park or a golf course, is unreasonable. 55 and over seems to be the way to get around any zoning laws. We can't have the senior citizens living out in the snow. I'm glad the consultants went this route. I'm also sure that the consultants know that existing community and the new 55 and over residents, don't need a public golf course. They would better entertained and lead a healthier life style if they just moped around the new mall, or better yet, some of the vacant malls in the area. Once we get rid of that open 135 acres we will all breath a little easier. If anyone is thinking of resisting this plan, don't bother. The swan always dies at the end of opera. Opera tickets are always free at the planning board public meetings.
